Poor Weather Causes Driver Chaos

Motorists have been warned to take extra care when driving across the UK’s road due to risk of black ice following heavy snow from the weekend. These conditions are only set to worsen with freezing temperatures as low as -12°c tonight.

Severe weather conditions have made for major travel disruption across the Midlands and Wales with up to 30cm of snow recorded in places. The RAC attended 8000 incidents on Sunday and a 40% increase in call outs to rescue vehicles stuck in snow.

Drivers are recommended to take care in the snow and only make necessary journeys.
